Longines Ultronic Chronograph - Tuning Fork
Longines Ultronic Chronograph featuring a tuning fork movement. The ESA 9210 movement in this watch is the only chronograph tuning fork watch movement ever made. The Dubois-Depraz chrono mechanism is added on like a sandwich to the normal tuning fork movement, which is the same tuning fork movement found in Omega F300s. Omega utilized the ESA 9210 in their Speedsonic which was designated as the Omega 1255 movement.
Only a small handful of brands featured this movement which included Longines, Certina, and Baume & Mercier. Unfortunately, these watches are frequently parted out to keep the Speedsonics alive. There is an excellent page full of diagrams of the ESA 9210 that does a much better job explaining the movement. It is truly an interesting piece of history in the line of tuning fork watches. The dial is a gorgeous metallic blue and the navy-blue suede strap is an excellent pairing from its previous owner. The ESA 9210 was released in 1972

With the lilt of Irish laughter
Every day and in every way
Now forever and ever after."
