Diamond Classique

Post by TimeMachine » July 26th 2010, 2:15pm

Seems that someone bought an Invicta Diamond Classique and one of the diamonds on the bezel fell out. He figured it would cost less to just take it to his jewler and get a new one put in than to send it back to Invicta. Well, the jewler informs him that those there are crystals on the bezel, not diamonds. This guy posted about it at WG, Jim came on and said that ShopNBC customer service is aware of the issue and will be contacting all involved and will make everyone happy. Thread is locked.

Oh Oh! Here we go again.

You gents beat me to the punch on this. Just more fuel for the IWG fire.

My guess is that Lalo will respond and claim that "Diamond Accents" mean it just looks like diamonds.

Snake oil salesman.

I'm telling ya: They're gonna claim that "diamond accents" are sorta kinda like diamonds. Koi, it's telling how they raced to take the video down.

So fucking typical! What a bunch of pathetic snake oil salesmen....they are just getting in it deeper and deeper.

Lies, I'll take the "Eyal is pulling all inventory until this matter is investigated fully."

lol at pulling the video already. Slop had a Defcon 5 checklist at all employees stations.

1. State you are investigating the situation

2. Immediately lock down thread

3. Pull the J number from Website and all associated marketing material

4. Change OP's password at WatchGeeks, do NOT Ban, repeat Do NOT Ban. Banning will leave a trail.

5. Wait 96 hours. If more threads arise with same subject matter, Issue statement from Invicta with zero accountability. Blame 3rd party diamond supplier, state that "Loud discussions will take place"

There are actually several different versions of the Diamond Classique available, most of them have the same "diamond" bezel design, with differences in the bracelets/straps and the dials. Some of them still have video up, for example the sandstone dial version (J#: 179103), early on in the video MD says this watch features "20 genuine diamonds around the bezel". Let's see if this video disappears soon also, but it's still there as of right now.

I have two of them and sometime this week if things pan out and they are frauds, I will upload. No sense in jumping the gun. Lets see what they say about it.
