New member

New member here from Northern California. I have only been serious about watches for the last year or so. Last year my dad presented me with his grandfather’s 1923 Illinois pocket watch. Before his douche-bag 2 yr. old son (me) treated it like a Tonka truck, this watch was in working condition.

As you can see from the pic below the dial is just about ruined and the crystal is missing (Pre- flame fusion otherwise it would still be intact). So right now I’m focused on getting this watch back in working order and scouring EBay for parts. I like to collect mostly auto’s and lean towards divers and dress watches. I try and keep my purchases under $250 and gravitate towards Seiko, Bulova and Orient watches. Thanks for having me.

poindexter

1. any person (usually a nerd or geek) who says useless random facts at random times (usually to random people because they have no friends)

2. a poindexter may also use his superior intellect to change a conversation into a lecture.

Anyways, welcome to WL.

Maybe this Poindexter

Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
