WUS Ed project vintage dive watch $350.00

Ed is putting out a nice looking vintage dive watch. Here is a link with the specs.

It's 40mm, NH35 movement, 660 feet, domed crystal, custom bor bracelet, a lumed 120 click bezel with full markings (except the blue, it will not have full lume). The blue is also the only one with a date.
It's tasteful, choices are a nice blue, a cool brown and standard black dials.
He said it is being made all from scratch with no off the shelf parts for the watch case, dial, indices, bezel and bracelet.
If you have seen Eds previous projects (the 63 and the Bundeswehr) then you know his work is very good and quality is super.
You can expect your watch in Aug or Sep. I know you guys don't like to pay and wait, but Ed is legit and has a good reputation.

$175.00 deposit and $175.00 before delivery. Not a bad price at all. Oh, plus shipping.

I do not work for Ed and am not a schill. I just think it looks better than a lot of other watches and it's cheaper and a good size.

They need 100 deposits to get the watches made. Currently have 51 and the drop date is apparently 2/15/18. Delivery of watches will not happen until next fall. And this is a forum watch for WUS, wussies.

Not for me. I'm not real big on dropping $175 on a nonexistant watch and hoping the tightwads at WUS are going to come through.
My little brain can't even comprehend how deep that is.

I don't know, it's not out yet. His bundeswehr and 63's haven't taken a bath on resale.
That domed crystal is cool, it will have ar coating on the inside.
I didn't like the voting on movement (I wanted an ETA), indices (I wanted the other coffin) and bracelet (I wanted ladder). I wanted it to stand out more and not such a blend in watch. I am waiting on the Armida A12 to come back up for sale and with that and my 4s15 Seiko I will have enough blend in watches. Otherwise I would get the brown or blue. Actually, if I hadn't been a part of the voting I probably would have seen this and thought it was cool and got one. Now I look at it and see what I wanted it to be.

IMO the beads of rice bracelet choice looks a little out of place.

I'm a sucker for slim profile bezels. And holy fuck...a micro with an indexed bezel. Its a miracle!

I agree the BOR doesn't really suit it and the unprotected crown is a mark against.

Otherwise its pretty schmick.

You know, Carl, here we were, discussing a watch without any profanity at all--well, apart from me and the "blow" comment--and then you have to come in a drop the fucking F-bomb!!

Amazingly (for a forum watch), it doesn't orally stimulate lingam.

Disclaimer #1: I confess...I *really* like the vintage lume model. Can't afford it with my upcoming trip :-(

To my knowledge, Ed has come through on every project watch that he's directed in my time at WUS, with only one of the projects not getting enough subscribers. If there are enough subscribers, it'll happen. Ed's first project watches were all for F72/Chinese Mechanical Watch Forum, and he has had a hand in much more than the '63 and the Bundeswehr. To my knowledge, he's pretty much directed/coordinated *every* project watch for F72, starting in 2011 (the ST5 was he and Torsten), and as an F72 moderator, and as a friend with years of interacting with him, I just plain trust him.

Disclaimer #2: I really look forward to seeing Ed again in April. He's a very regular guy, smart, friendly and I'm glad the WUS association is working out well for him. Just for clarity: I had zero to do with his connecting with WUS, or with the initial project watch ideas, and didn't really connect with him in any large way till maybe 2013. Didn't meet him till 2015 at CWCF/Shenzhen.

Disclaimer #3: I have 4 watches that Ed delivered ;-)
