SEIKO 5 RELAUNCHES WITH 27 NEW DIVERS

Post by JAS1125 » August 7th 2019, 10:16am

For many watch enthusiasts, Seiko 5 represents the introduction to a world of mechanical watches. Not only are they made by a brand with one of the most iconic names in the watch world, but they’re inexpensive while still being well-made, widely available, and offer an incredible amount of variety. Seiko 5s come in all flavors, from modern to retro, sporty to dress. Today, we’re focusing on the official relaunch of the Seiko 5 Sports line. With a new logo and collections within the collection, there’s a lot going on here, so let’s get to it.

Nicest-looking 5s EVER. Gotta hand it to 'em this time; noticed the new "5" as well.

Home run into the upper deck. The 5s needed an update, and they seemed to do it very well.

They look cool, indeed.

But not only that, especially nice for Seiko, they didn't jack the prices into the upper deck as T befittingly frames it along with the design and mechanical upgrades.

That's how who's on top stays on top, I reckon.

I like the looks of some of them. Still, a Seiko that looks like a diver, but isn't a diver? Somehow, this has me unexcited.

The Seiko 5 is alive – again

For decades, the Seiko 5 collection has been some of the best-value mechanical watchmaking on the planet. The ability to buy an automatic watch with an in-house movement for only a few hundred dollars must be responsible for introducing tens of thousands of people around the world to watches. You would be hard-pressed to find many watch collectors out there who haven’t owned a Seiko 5 at one point in their collecting journey. And while many of the big Swiss brands would hate to admit it, the watch industry is a much better place for the existence of the Seiko 5.

His fucking head looks like a bearded eggplant.
And, his head is shaped like Mark Bernardo's.
I find tv watches to be like the guys who raise their truck you need a fricken ladder to get in. It’s a attempt to look cool... that’s all.
