Sinn 158 Chronograph – Re-Edition of the 1550 SG Bundeswehr

Post by Racer-X » February 18th 2020, 10:08am

“Sinn’s dedication to tool, pilot and military watches is undeniable. The brand is one of the main specialists in this field, with a full range of no-nonsense, robust and effective watches at reasonable prices. References such as the 103, the 140 or the 356 need no introduction anymore.

However, if there was only one to keep in mind, this would be the “Bundeswehr Chronograph for Pilots”, known under the references 1550 SG (when it was made by Heuer) or 155 Bw (when manufactured by Sinn). This watch, produced during the 1960s, and later in the 1980s and early 1990s, is a legend among military chronographs… And today, it’s back! Meet the new Sinn 158 Chronograph.”

Cheers!

Actually, I think the price is ok, when compared to other mechanical chronographs available these days. But it is too thick.
Ardnut since 1989

In twenty years or so, the German language will be one, massively long compound word.

Not bad, but I wish the fucking Krauts would learn how to spell "automatic." After all, the Japs get it right, and we kicked their fucking asses as much (if not more) than we did the Krauts in the middle of the last century. And now, they sell us a bunch of overpriced fucking Audis and shit.
I find tv watches to be like the guys who raise their truck you need a fricken ladder to get in. It’s a attempt to look cool... that’s all.

Without even checking the price; I'd say it's a better buy than that Bulova Surfboard.

edit: just checked the price; Hell, yes! it's a better deal than the Bulova.
Quite so. Looking at it that way, Bullie can suck my salty ballz.
