Blame the Young on high watch prices

Post by bbattle » March 19th 2023, 2:09pm

According to the Robb Report, young watch buyers are hoovering up second hand Rolex's and Patek Philippe's like so much investment candy. They don't buy new because they don't have an emotional attachment to the watch. They wear the watch for a while, then unload it when the opportunity arises.

So, the used watch market has prices outpacing the stock market for the past five years.

Nationalism: a profound longing to go back to a past that never existed.

Indeed — allowance increases have far exceeded the cost of living. Why, 35K for a Cosmo is a mere week's worth, by golly
