Czapek Antarctique Passage de Drake Glacier
Following on from a recent post on a new entry into the luxury bracelet sports watch market, today we bring you two new colour variants from Czapek to its successful Antarctique Passage de Drake collection, which fall into the same category, but at a lower price point.
They are the Passage de Drake Glacier Blue, which will be part of the regular collection, and the Passage de Drake Salmon, a limited edition of 99 pieces. The Antarctique Passage de Drake comes in a 40.5 mm x 10.6 mm stainless steel case with a water resistance of 120m.
Under a box-shaped sapphire crystal are dials featuring the trapezoidal motif stamped Czapek “Stairway to Eternity” patterned surface. The salmon dial has galvanic treatment, whilst the Glacier Blue has PVD treatment. Both dials are made by Metalem.
The indices are rhodium-plated steel and both they and the steel hands, are lumed. The colour-matched date wheel is displayed through a tapered aperture. Also, there are two options on the dial – firstly, the owner may choose between an Arabic “12” or double indices “II” at 12 o’clock. Secondly, the centre seconds hand can be red, steel, or steel with a red tip. This is also an option for the other Antarctique Passage de Drake models.
