Tissot PRX

Post by MKTheVintageBloke » February 1st 2021, 3:28pm

Recently, I've been reading through this...
https://www.fratellowatches.com/this-we ... -and-hsny/

...and I have noticed this:

The release seems to have been largely without much of a reaction, which is something of a pity, as it seems to be an appealing watch. Late 1970s-looking quartz, only new. Not half bad, I reckon.

Hell, if I wasn't after the Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical, who knows, I could even be persuaded. Alas, the looks of this one don't quite play "Fortunate Son."

Well, for the price, count me in!

Signed up for notification for when the white dial is back in stock.

Great find.

The more I look at it, the more I think that the Hamilton will have to wait, even though it does look like it plays "Fortunate Son." I do happen to have a way of getting that Tissot at 30% off, so... Feels like the more versatile thing, higher WR, and I never had a watch with an integrated bracelet. With a recess instead of lugs, sure, but that's a different thing.

The silver dial with rose gold hour markers and hands is OK, but it's the blue dial version that gives me a hard-on.

Looks Skagen-ish to me - very nice.
That might be the first time that sentence has ever been writen.

I'm totally smitten by this right now: https://www.jomashop.com/edox-delfin-wa ... m-nin.html
That's a sexy watch. Afraid it would wear larger than 42 but I could well be wrong.

One of the former bouncers (they're all former bouncers apparently) on the UK Timezone said it wears huge for its 40mm size. I guess he must have lost a lot of muscle mass since retiring? Anyway, the big dial and long first lug that sticks out a bit suggests it suits flat wrists better.

That is really nice looking!! I wonder if there will be an automatic version down the road? I really don't need another quartz watch but damn!!

Only because I have a Skagen that looks very much like that Tissot.
