A *huge* post-- the new *complete* Shanghai Watch Factory Museum visit - AMCHPR 2024

There's *lots* of brand new photos and information in this post, including items and information I was reliably told have never been shown in the west.

What can I say? I pinch myself sometimes.

A couple of teasers...

Epic! What an amazing adventure. Minor complaint - some captions would really help!
Thank you, and I agree--and that goes for a lot of the site, but time is...sometimes time is short :-)

Yep, amazing adventure is right. I'm sure you understand sometimes I look around me and can hardly believe I'm there.

Bravo! Absolutely brilliant reporting, Ron!
Wowsers, them's are very kind words, Sir.

John, and again, everyone, thank you so much for the response.

Fun is more fun when other folks share it.

Thanks 3F, and I mean it.

I might have mentioned this phrase before, here, but it's an expression I first heard from Ma Rong, and have since heard a number of times from others in China. It's a response when someone expresses thanks for something, and it's stayed with me.

Especially given my very good fortune to be healthy enough and financially able enough to do these trips (although maybe at the expense of a more comfortable retirement), and also very much because of the support I'm given here at Watchlords, "I'm only doing what I should do."

I hope I can do more.
