San Martin SN0116-G GMT arrives at the AMCHPR

Post by AlbertaTime » March 19th 2024, 1:35pm

Gotta say, I'm pretty impressed with this one: my new "summer watch" and my first GMT.

San Martin SN0116-G GMT: Ceramic bezel, sapphire crystal, NH34 GMT movement, Fly Adjustable Clasp, screwed links, 39.5mm w/crown and 46.5mm lug to lug - arrived AMCHPR 9/19/24. Super easy to re-size, and very comfortable on my smaller wrist.

I don't do teal but otherwise it looks really nice. Is that a real BoR?
There's other coloured versions, and I get it. Taste is taste :fdfd:

I'm not sure what "real" is :-) but all the center links are individual links. Actually, the whole thing is a pretty nice build.

And thanks for the kind comments, above.

Yep, that's what I meant by "real" - individual links. Very nice. A lot of the modern 'BoR's are just one big link

Very nice! First watch Ive been interested in for a while bit it seems that the black dial version is sold out on their website. I really need a GMT these days but a lot of other priorities.
NRPI and Shitheel here.

I see that, about "sold out." The black dial world timer is still available. The difference is cities instead of 24 numerals. There's a crowded version and a much cleaner black version.

And they have this one (same model #) but bezel is either black with vintage/gold colour and gold tone hands, not black and white / or a blue/red Cola bezel with white numerals

But I also notice they *just* released another GMT

I still have a few of the old Alpha watches and the new ones being put out like the San martin really show you how far they have come
I have an Alpha daytona--it's OK - but it's not at all built like these.

How is the adjustable clasp?
The adjustable clasp is worth the price of admission. It *works*. Makes sizing to your own taste extremely easy.

Looks great- look forward to what you think about the NH GMT movement.
I look forward to this as well. I haven't had great luck with mine in the Seiko 5er.
I haven't touched that yet. I'll set it up after this weekend and report back. My next day off is Monday and I'm being lazy, evenings :-)

I get a kick out of the fact this this old design...

...offers all the information provided by a GMT movement.
