Shanghai Aug 25th/27th with Mr. Zhang Zhenghao (and Shanghai scenes) AMCHPR 2023

Post by AlbertaTime » October 10th 2023, 12:24am

In the First teaser of the 2023 AMCHPR China Tour I posted a super rare He Ping watch with a bird on the dial, that I'd seen and held at the shop of Mr. Zhang Zhenghao, the Chairman of the Shanghai Collection Association, Clocks and Watches Branch, and a third generation watch and clock dealer/watchmaker.

Shanghai 25th and 27th 2023 with Mr. Zhang Zhenghao (and Shanghai scenes) is the promised full meal deal, with a host of wristwatch rarities, and rare clocks and pocket watches. Plus some scenes of Shanghai's very busy and popular Yuyuan market and gardens area.

Here's a couple more teaser photos...

That pocket watch looks amazing.
I agree. It was a European watch but reflected traditional Chinese timekeeping.

I really enjoy following the links to the museum and seeing much more detail. Keep up the Good work.
Thank you! I used to post the full articles at this forum and watchuseek as well as my own site (amchpr.com) but that really hurt my site in Google's algorithm because they thought my own site was just repeating posts from forums. That's why I only point to my site for the full articles, now.

Hello!
I am in Shanghai now and I could not find Mr. Zhenghao shop. Can you give directions? Is the sho inside a mall near Yu Gardens?
Thank you!
Andy
Hi Andy. Yes, in the Yu Gardens complex. Once you're close, he's down an escalator to the basement level, and slightly to the left.

Mr. Zhang Zhenghao's shop is (complete address) No 265 FangBangZhong Road, Huabao Floor, Basement Market Shop #6. He's well known in the area, so showing his photo or the photo of his shop might help, too. Or call him: 1380 168 4881.

Let me know if this helps, and please say hi for me if you meet.
