Sept 16th and 17th with Liu Shuli AMCHPR China Tour 2023

Post by AlbertaTime » October 8th 2023, 11:28pm

You may have already seen some of this stuff in a "Lords First" preview--but there's lots more photos and info here, so have a look if you're of a mind to :-)

As an additional teaser, I've attached a photo I could have used but didn't. Another 'Lords bonus !

Great pics of the area and the hotel. The peacock watch is awesome, man. The 719 reminds me of how some Chinese houses have included engine turning in carrying on a once uniquely Swiss process — seems to me a significant indication of the advance of haute watchmaking in China in addition to the many old-school Chinese artisanal processes incorporated by contemporary masters into the exquisite dial making of many of the new(er) guard of independents. Greatly look forward to the piece on the watch shop. Great stuff, Ron.

Thanks, 3F, and the post on Mr. Zhang Zhenghao's Shanghai watch shop is up.

Is that the post that highlights the Peacock watch? To cool to have a watchmaker there - especially with while you wait service.

Well, Liu Shuli (who is a watchmaker, for sure) in Tianjin fixed my Peacock: https://www.amchpr.com/liushuli2023.html. And it was cool being in the shop while it was repaired.

But I thought you were referring to the watch shop owned by Zhang Zhenghao in Shanghai https://www.amchpr.com/shanghai1.html . His shop had the bird dial He Ping, and was my first preview post to Watchlords.
