Just spoke with some folks at Liaoning Peacock and my visit to the Factory is *on* for September 7th :-)

Well, the China Watch and Clock Fair in Shenzhen didn't make it off the ground, probably due to proximity from the Hong Kong show. And, because the execs are away from the Peacock Factory in Dandong for the HK show my plans to see that factory may change (or may not).

But, either way, not having to return to Shenzhen gives me more time in Tianjin and Beijing. OK, no problem.

I've decided to keep Shenyang and Dandong on my itinerary either way because I haven't been that far north before, so even if all I get to do is wander around and take photos, I'm fine with that.

So: updated, as of today:

I leave Edmonton at 6:00AM Wednesday August 23rd, arriving late Thursday August 24th (China time).

Then:

Shanghai Aug 24-Aug 28
Zhuhai Aug 28-Sep 01
Shenzhen Sep 01-Sep 05
Shenyang/Dandong Sep 05-Sep 08
Shijiazhuang Sep 08-Sep 12
Tianjin Sep 12-Sep 16
Beijing Sep 16-Sep 21

Then I fly home.
You are going to have so much fun!! Amazing trip!

Thanks, Christopher.

Keep each other safe and happy, 'Lords. I'll pop in and out while I'm gone.

I gotta admit, I'm impressed with this...

These photos were taken a couple of minutes before I sent this, from 37,000 ft and where the photos say I am.

Streaming capable internet. Sorry the photos are sideways.

How do the flight attendants look? Are they hot??
They look great. Sorry, no photos, but trust me.

And they were super helpful, which was cool because circumstances led to me doing a 30+ hour stretch with no sleep before boarding this morning, starting with getting up at 6AM yesterday to drive down from Peace River to Edmonton.

I won't write about it now but it was boring, mostly, and not lots of fun.By the time I boarded the Vancouver to Hong Kong leg of the trip at 10:45 AM this morning (AC700) I was enough of a wreck I got 5 hours sleep sitting on the plane.
