26 of the bastards burning out of control — unreal, man. I have a friend who is a smokejumper who's up there to help reinforce your firefighters with a group of hotshot crews from here — god willing we won't need them back — we'll see what the forecasted el nińo conditions bring this summer.

Wow. Looks horrible. I hope the rain helps!

It is horrible, and I hope so, too--but the percentage possibility of rain around here keeps dropping. I'm wearing N95 masks outside but I'm still starting to notice some negative effects.

As an aside, we have had air quality alerts ranging from 140 to 210 due to the smoke and particulates from the Alberta fires reaching all the way here. We have been fortunate with only 4 or 5 red flag warning days so far this year.
