More 360s, this time from Guangzhou...

Post by AlbertaTime » June 26th 2019, 8:52am

More news to come over the next while but here's a couple "what I was up to" 360s...

First, a toast with my friend, Edmond Hui, Vice-President of the Guangzhou Watches and Clocks Association, while meeting with Mme. Fu Ping, the Executive Vice President of Shanghai Watch Factory, at the company's headquarters in Guangzhou...

...and a visit to the Lotusman Watches enamel studios...

Lotsa photos and more info to come once I get all this organized.

My trips are all roughly one month, and this one is almost over :-(

I take the great silver bird back on the 28th (Beijing time) and arrive back in Canada on the 28th, Alberta time.

Today, is my last full day in China, this trip., and I'm doing a TV shoot with the folks from Atelier Wen, Robin and Wilfried, as well as my old CHA buddy, Li Wei, so it'll be a good last day :-)

Best to you all!

Nope. It's for a CCTV9 documentary on, according to Li Wei, "art, history, economy and manufacture."

I was brought in, so it was described to me, as a "foreign expert" on Chinese watch manufacturing history.

When I objected that I was learning, not an "expert," Robin replied: "yeah, that's what the real experts say."

I can't catch a break.... ;-)

I don't have any photos of this uploaded to my website yet, but here's a post-production group shot of two of the crew, Li Wei, Robin and Wilfried, two Atelier Wen designers, and me.

That's what experts do alright, at least the ones who wish to remain experts.

Trust you arrived home safe and sound and mightily looking forward to the epilogue.
