AlbertaTime in China...

Post by AlbertaTime » October 14th 2011, 9:28am

Hi all.

I'm having a great time in China and making some detailed posts about my travels. I'm linking to them here (in order) and I welcome anyone who cares to to have a look...

My best to you all (and if anyone would like me to post the complete things here instead of linking, just let me know otherwise, I'll just assume this method is preferable...

Martin (martback) and Ron (AlbertaTime) in Beijing (Modem murder)

AlbertaTime in Beijing #2 (modem murder and some of it's off-topic)

AlbertaTime in Beijing #3 (UTTER MODEM MASSACRE and almost none is watch-related content)

AlbertaTime in Shijiazhuang #1 -- MODEM DESTRUCTION / lotsa tour photos & 3 new watches too :-)

"Whipping top" and a new friend in Shijiazhuang...

Nice to see that even in China there are places for people like Slowpo Image

I find it interesting that the sign's primarily in English.
I find tv watches to be like the guys who raise their truck you need a fricken ladder to get in. It’s a attempt to look cool... that’s all.

Indeed , hopefully the rascal doesn't get caught in one of these "culture oriented sex tours" raids...

English text may read: Beijing Huiling Community Services for People with Intellectual Disabilities - but I suspect the Chinese characters say: Sagacious Panda Heavenly Wisdom Cultural Struggle Hand Sorted Toxic Waste and Heavy Metals Recycling Center #5 - Big Employment Opportunities for the Feeble Minded.

Yup :-)

For the most part Chinese characters convey ideas/concepts rather than act purely as an alphabet.
