"The Greatest" would have been 80 1/17/22

The reason is: "Ali refrained from another shot on the tumbling Foreman, because he didn't want to spoil the aesthetics of the moment" Angelo Dundee
Long before pay per view Ali fought on free TV without the closed circuit crap. I loved to watch him box from the time I was a kid. I will not get into the politics of his life except to say I supported his choices and ultimately he was proven correct. He was the most famous man in the world at one time and even today he is held in high esteem by many. He was "the greatest" even with the Sugar Ray Leonards, Hearns and Robinsons of the time fighting in different weight classes. He was a light heavy weight fighting as a heavy weight and he pulled it off.

“Your heart was warm and happy
With the lilt of Irish laughter
Every day and in every way
Now forever and ever after."
