A Special Kind Of Beauty Requires A Special Kind Of Buyer

Post by Nuvolari » September 18th 2021, 9:00am

I figured I’d post this because it is a beautiful piece of artistry crafted from some of the most desirable materials known to man - or his spouse.

Since it is seldom worn and I have a looming medical school expense - I’m consulting with a few experts on how to approach selling it - including the original selling jeweler, the artist who made it, and a few auction house reps….

We’ll see.

Like a Bugatti with a “lift kit” - this unusual and not-inexpensive piece has a very niche and fickle audience which can be difficult to reach…. So, it may just go back into the safe to be admired periodically.

BUT, since I’ve got it out - I might as well share the shine and sparkle:

If any of you are gem or jewelry nerds - here are the build details:
18k yellow and white gold modified Maltese design;
18.5x19.4mm emerald cut Emerald of approx 22 carats;
20 baguette diamonds weighing approximately 8 carats;
2 pave diamond ball ends, approximately 1.5 carats;
Square cut and marquis shape golden sapphires, approximately 9 carats;
Diamonds are G-H color range and VS average clarity;
Sapphires are matched bright and ‘well cut’;
Black silk cord and 18k yellow gold lobster clasp

It really is fucking amazingly beautiful in person (if you like that sort of thing) - and definitely the largest high-quality emerald I have ever seen or am likely to see again.
And, of course, if any of you Lords have recently sold a boat or a plane and wish to make someone in your life feel extra special…. do reach out.
