Last Friday I got this text message from 1 (386) 280-0588 @ 11:36 am. --
I've x'ed out personal info

Yesterday, got another slightly different one from 1 (267) 829-0638 @ 3:27 pm

My wife Carol was in a nursing home for 9 years before passing away in May, 2014.
I'm really afraid to 'click' on these addresses, so I have NO IDEA what/why I'm getting them.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Do NOT click on them. Pure phishing attempts. I get them, too. Scammers

They gathered her name from an internet database and are trying to get a response to get money from you.

Agree with BL. Do not click. If anything, block the numbers.

No official government source or legit business would try to contact you via text message with an undisclosed provider of the link.

AS BL said- don't click the link, and as Smellody said- block the numbers as they come in. They will eventually give up if you don't respond.

Agreed, no legit companies text other than notifications you request. Send to trash immediately upon receipt and never open them...

Yep. Assume your personal info is already out there and could show up in any call, email, text or paper mail.

The last one I got, similar to the others, said she was approved for a vehicle loan. The English was really bad. Appreciate your responses.
