Uncle Cliffy - RIP

Post by koimaster » August 29th 2020, 9:49pm

I walked into the kitchen early on Saturday morning to find my wife and daughters making waffles. Anna was doing it through a pair of glassy eyes.

“Can 2020 just be done already?” she said.

Cliff Robinson is dead. The beloved Trail Blazer was 53. The man known as “Uncle Cliffy” -- gone. Just like that. And I couldn’t help but think of Jerome Kersey and Kevin Duckworth. Because as legendary Blazers’ broadcaster Bill Schonely told me before the memorials of those two great players, “It wasn’t supposed to happen this way.”

With the lilt of Irish laughter

Every day and in every way

Now forever and ever after."

Surprised to learn this earlier tonight. I have a lot of memories tied to those old Blazer teams. Cliffy was one of the few young draft choices that actually worked out for the team. The same team that seemed to draft Bowie over Jordan year after year. You need to quit quoting Canzano because I started reading this thread thinking that you had remarried some Anna woman.
See you're WRONG I don't work at all, I'm a Democrat. The immortal Horse Feathers as spoken to Chucky Ninetoes.
