Kevco, the buyer at $36.95 was me. So if you got one for a buck less, you done good. Congratulations on your purchase.

Thank you sir. Seemed odd but I went for it. I think if anyone else wanted one they should offer the seller $36.95 and see if he takes it.

Question: Will the capacitor battery ever need to be replaced?

Great review Mort - you are DA MAIN! (Bobby "Blue" Bland pronunciation).

I'm a sucker for cushion cases, bold handed easy geezer readers, and ornate dial work. I've also been a fan of Seiko kinetic and direct drive tech for a very long time. But had no idea they were licensing it to other companies.

Oh, and Hush Puppies will always be shoes to me. I think Hush Puppies as food are nasty (not to mention unhealthy), and would prefer a felafel (the likely source).

Thanks Mort. Good read.

Many thanks, jaw; I love the phrase "bold-handed easy geezer readers!" (and falafels, too...)

I did, and he accepted. ...ivory dial incoming
Why not? :)

Sorry, Kev; didn't see this one. It has been my experience (I have owned three Seiko kinetics for the last three or four years, not to mention a herd's worth of Citizen Eco-Drives, where the power storage system is virtually the same ) that the capacitors are very robust, can take a lot of charging and still keep storing 'trons on a day-to-day basis; breakage is a pretty rare occasion, and usually related to a complete misuse of the watch. Bottom line: you shouldn't ever have to worry about it.

Hope this helps... 8-)
