One of the first watches I bought when I started collecting. Wouldnt mind still owning one but dont the new ones have a non ETA movement. Mine had a 2824-2.

I also had the less expensive model with the Miyota movement. Easy to tell the difference and the 9937 was superior but I liked the 8926ob as well.

Those early Invicta divers like the 8926 (and the 9110, same watch at the time but on rubber) were all right. I can only wonder with the "brand's" recent shoddy behavior if current models with the same number are even a fraction of the quality they used to be.

They're not...
A friend picked up the 8926 with the scalloped bezel and NH35 movement. Case and dial were OK, but the bracelet, which used to be fairly decent, was noticeably lighter than my 8926OB Miyota.

That's pretty much what I heard, JAS. Read somewhere, also, that the Speedway models, which a few people used to think were ok? The ones they sell now are just cheap junk, too. Not even the tried and true Invicta models remain I guess - the whole concern from soup to nuts has totally jumped the shark.

Had one in the same family (forgot the reference # ) MOP dial, scalloped bezel , a very well adjusted ETA 2824-2 and a really excellent/very well done bracelet that like an idiot, I sold and of course... miss.

I've got that same watch. Mine is a very rare bird in that it had the crown winding issue and Invicta actually fixed the thing. Still have it because it would be hard to sell unless I join WIT someday.

I have bought three of their latest Swiss versions with the SW-200, an all black on stainless steel, a black-dial + blue & black bezel, and an all-green on a two-tone (or, if you're from Rio Lindo or Perth-Fremantle, "tutone") bracelet. All have been running quite well, but the really odd thing about them was their price: each were less than $200 USD, and one of them -- the greenie -- was <$150 at the time of purchase on feeBay. I like them all, but let's face it; it's better to hang onto the bongo bux now and get me a Hulk later...

On mobile it looks like the Invicta has a finely scalloped bezel? Coin edge, like the edge of a US quarter (banged up a bit as below), is what my impression of the term describes?

Did not know that was the term? The more you know...

No clue, I would hope at the price Tudor charges that it would be machined!

Coins have "reeded" edges. The unwashed WIS types just use coin edge as an alternative term.
Reeded sounds so TZ and, while correct as far as the technique goes, sounds silly. Like a car with a bonnet.
