Jackalopitude

Post by tiktok » January 11th 2019, 2:36pm

Previously on this channel I had discussed the problems I faced reading Maison Celadon's dive watch, hands are sort of the same color as the dial and tiny and the watch only reminds me of the fleeting time we lurk in this realm. Now this watch has been in preproduction for like two years and while the watch is ready the fancy container and stingray/rubber strap are still not completed. I wrote Ben the watchmaker and asked if I could have the blue dial instead of the gray dial. The only reason I have the watch is I got my New York on and told him to deliver the head asap.

So I thought the blue might be more legible but when I wrote him he said my watch is now a used watch and would have to be examined to determine its value. The friggin watch has never been worn just put on a quick release strap and stared at... I give up, I hope I get the watch accessories and sell it before my cataracts take the hell over. The photo makes it look more legible than it is by a mile.

Not sure I like the direction this transaction is headed. While I see the point of being "pre-owned", you would think an accommodation could be reached on value.

I'm out, I'm selling my other one if anyone wants it. The only valuation is frigging shipping.

Really? That sucks. Almost like having a Chinese invicta. Is the other one the one you were going to let me wear if I ever got to NYC?

Man, I hate to hear that. It’s not like your a fickle customer, you brought up a legitimate concern.
In memory of TB/Phfluff, since he isn’t here to continue to give his praise, I will share it for him.

For what it's worth a charming young lady at my ophthalmologist's office gave me her personal assessment of the cataract surgery training video. As a consequence I got a case of the squeamish quite unnecessarily. Her boss, ever the accommodating sort, drugged me up most pleasantly such that I'd cheerfully have the operation several times more.

And it makes all the difference. Cataract surgery FTW.
