New dude from South Carolina
Well, not originally, so please no "toothless," "redneck," "sister=wifey" jokes just yet haha.
My real name is Peter...Pilliam is a hybrid of my two sons' names. Been into watches since I was a kid and rocked my first Timex. Like all of you, my "disease" has progressed, and the hobby has grown into an obsession. I learned of this forum last week, going down the rabbit hole reading about some new release. I remember it was the new Formex diver, and there's not too much out there about the brand. So I bounced around the various forums, many of which I've grown tired of, and by the time I'd gotten to probably the 7th page of my Google search, I learned of Watchlords. Then I poked around here and really liked the tone and camaraderie.
Without naming names, the usual forums, IMO, are played out. I'm exhausted with the "incoming" just for the sake of flexing and "if I take a dump with my Skydweller on, when I flush, will the backsplash ruin the interactive bezel movement?" threads...knowmesayin'?
Anyhoosie...was super psyched to find this group because y'all (see??? THERE'S the redneck) seem like good peeps who are here for the right reasons. Thanks to the Admins for allowing me to join. Was almost as difficult to gain membership as it is to pass a background check with the Feds haha
