Old new member

Post by ChuckO » April 14th 2020, 12:38pm

I signed up for this forum before I new anything about watches. I was a little intimidated to post much. The last few years I've been on WUS buying, selling, and learning.
Now I'm getting to the point that I can't stand all of the stupid threads over there. Like: "what animal does your watch resemble?" and "I left my watch in a glass of water overnight and it doesn't work anymore".
I think understand what this place is all about and I plan to become a contributor. Rant over!

Well now, there are several of us who are from Oregon and some from that state up north where husky's whine about football.

"what animal does your watch resemble?"
Lion

"I left my watch in a glass of water overnight and it doesn't work anymore".

Heat it up with a propane torch to get the water out. Preferably, remove the case back first.

If you heat up the movements lubricant, you can replace it with vaseline.

Fill the case back up with vaseline for water protection and lubrication.

Hey, I remember that handle!

Welcome back.
