I was grateful to Ed and others for the welcome back. I just wish you had been able to stick around like I was able to. I miss both you and Clarence. To new members, the two members I just mentioned passed away earlier this year. They were long time members and pillars here. They are greatly missed by the members of this forum. How many of you will be missed at a forum and how many forums with raise money to donate to a charity in your memory. None but this haterz site.

Just joined today...a long time WTF poster pushing 60(but don't feel it yet, I think)...remember Foghorn from my early years in '08-'09 there..I'm married w/ one kid(really a young man I guess), live in the Texas Hill country near Austin...I have 5 or 6 favorite brands of watches, enjoy craft beers, smoking BBQ, and lounging by the pool when both time/weather permits w/ our nearly tame deer friends...looking forward to exchanging pics/viewpoints on our watch obsession w/ you folks...thanx, Chuck :)

Yeah, I miss them as well. They were always entertaining. Learned a lot too. No sad emoticon.

Once again I have to remind new members to post an intro. Common courtesy to other members here. If you choose not to do so, I am cleaning up membership next weekend and if you have 0 posts your account will either be deactivated or deleted.

Quite so, Beds. Perhaps we might talk Kevin (abdukshun) out for a Softee-Freeze Cone...it'd be goood practice, Conj!

I'll even bring a fresh bag of cedar chips...

I will state categorically that although I have built a few bridges, I have never taken up residence under one.

The email was sent to all newly registered users which was my mistake. It should have gone to those who have not posted. Some of Conjurer's best friends live under bridges so it is all good.

HAIL, WATCH LORDS. I prostrate myself before your majesties.

I'm possibly the worst noob you'll ever encounter on the site because I don't own ANY watches. WAIT, DON'T HURT ME. I'm here to find out which one I should get, which brands I should investigate, what's "me" and so on.

Background is, I live in North London, am a writer and general layabout, love electronic music, old reggae, comics and nerd stuff, and Liverpool FC. Somehow I've got through five decades without ever owning a real watch, but as electronic devices become more disposable and meaningless I'm more and more drawn to the mystery and romance of an actual mechanical watch – something that's not going to be e-waste in three years' time.

Going to head over to the New Members forum and see what those guys say, but in the meantime, hello and please don't destroy me. :3

Howdy, Ndroid, and welcome to the forum. The first thing you're going to need to do is slide on down to the new member introductions and start up your very own thread. "Slipstreaming" off this thread is a no-no -- not a BIG no-no, but a no-no nonetheless, and you might find yourself sliced and diced, which is never a good thing. So go ahead and do that, and, with your original entry above, you should be okay...I hope. Ahem. Yes. So we'll see you down there in the new member threads. ;)

Hey newbs, you need to post in your own thread. It isn't that hard unless your are from England or some similar godforsaken country.

Quite simple actually, simply click on this link-----------> viewforum.php?f=5
then click on the flashing black box that says NEW TOPIC

You can thank me later

If you are a new member here I might suggest posting in this forum (not this thread) an introduction. You may want to include if you like watches or porn or both, types of watches, what got you into the hobby yada yada.

You may get razzed by the animals in this place but it is in good fun. Kind of like what your scoutmaster would tell you. :dev:
