I'm Jim, AKA studmuffin. Been into watches off and on since 2007. Been lurking around watch forums for a while. I saw some of the monikers of folks here who were active on other forums when I was just dipping my feet into the watch waters and thought I'd like to hang around. Without the oldtimers knowing it, they've provided me with quite a bit of education over the years. At least they've opened my eyes to a number of things many folks aren't aware of. Currently looking for a Hamilton Field Chrono automatic (older three subdial model), but they appear to be scarce. No hurry, got plenty of time to surf the net.

Somehow I think no matter how much I protest, I've already painted myself into a dark corner from which there's no return.

Just looking for ONE watch, an automatic chrono with a ValJoux 7750. My wife doesn't share my passion about watches, but I'm sure that's a familiar story.
