Happy to be in a new place to geek out on watches!

Post by surf4hours » October 9th 2024, 10:23am

Hello ladies and gents. Thank you to @smellody for the invite.

My name is Chris. Chicagoland born and raised, now living in California.

I am deeply a watch geek. Aside from forum chatting and oversharing about watches at parties; this manifests as collecting, flipping for fun, and learning watch repair.

I'm sure some of you have seen this before, but I find it to be somewhat true. I'm currently a mixed 5, 8, 9.

Lately my collection is settling into Rolex of the 60's/70's. I like to buy them beat up and restore them myself. Here's a few mainstays:

I was also very into Omega, and I've kept a couple birth year Speedies for my sons.

Mitsukoshi Mod Hesalite

and a Sapphire Sandwich

There's always a few more passing through, which I'll try to keep posting in the WURW posts.

Nice to meet you!

Wonderful watches. The #3 linen dial day-date is especially gorgeous.
