Forum Upgrade

Post by koimaster » July 5th 2016, 11:00am

I am going to upgrade the VPS (virtual private server) software operating system from a 32bit system to the newest 64 bit version. CentOS is a Linux based operating system which is very stable. The forum would be down between 5 minutes and 1 hour depending if there are any issues upgrading. This will occur in the next 30 days.

But kibbles bring tribbles which in turn mean giggles and wiggles. Tribbles also wiggle and then Data will fiddle and the riddler will riddle. So no to kibbles.

So did anyone notice any down time? Upgrade complete.

Seriously? Down time over? Wow. I was on and off much of the day and didn't notice anything.
You did it on a Saturday too, you are bold.

I didn't notice anything, either. And Daffodil ate all the kibbles, anyway...baddog!

As of today SpamAssassin has been added to the security of the forum. For those of you who like Spam, there are alternatives to it.

Healthier alternatives
•non processed meats
• natural, grass-fed meats

I know it's very trendy to eat meat that's "free range" and "humanely raised," but I disagree. Raising a cow humanely will just make the final moments of its life that much more cruel. And, I'm cheap.
My little brain can't even comprehend how deep that is.

I could never eat beef that came from vegetarian cattle...

Americans are such pitiful consumers. Grass fed cattle---good thing they're not feeding them chicken.

What did Hormel ever do to us? And have you ever tried fried Spam on a Kaiser? Kept me alive in college.
WatchGeeks will go down in watch forum history as the worst watch related site that existed. Trolls, threats, bannings, and owners and sponsors talking out of their collective asses to fleece people out of hard earned money. - Koimaster

Dion is in process of forum upgrades as I type and they should be complete by Monday afternoon. A few new styles (colors), language packs, collapsible forums and such. A new anti-malware software has been installed as well. So if things seem out of sorts at times that is why.

Thanks for the update. I noticed on my IPAD this morning, it reverts back to the mobile version each time I visit the WL URL. I have to manually select full version at the bottom of the screen. Thanks for maintaining the website so well. I will be sending a donation.

So the upgrades are done. If you want to see a new board versions please go to your user CP (board preferences) and follow the directions. Avalon and we_universal are the new one. I thought about a black version but the member colors would not show up well.

Some may notice something else on the board if they look hard enough.

Also look at the right hand side, top of every lead forum for the minus sign. Click on it and that group of forums closes so you do not have to scroll through all of them.
