Paste that code directly into your watchlords post (no need to click the 'Img' button here as that part is included in the link already)Image

So it does. I have accounts at both, but Imgur is a lot less irritating to use.
I find tv watches to be like the guys who raise their truck you need a fricken ladder to get in. It’s a attempt to look cool... that’s all.

You are right. It does work fine but the ads suck.

Try an adblocker. I haven't seen an ad in years. YouTube most notably is a far better experience without ads.

My favorite right now is UBlock Origin for Chrome or Firefox. It uses far less system resources than AdBlock Plus.

It appears to me that to save images here and elsewhere you have to upgrade to the $39.00 annual package they have. Extortion without a doubt in my mind but the only way to save threads or posts that have relied on PB.

I'm totally turned off by the way they went about it. I'm sure some sort of calculation was behind the particular "upgrade" demand. If even 1% of those affected took the offer, that's revenue they didn't have before. And to lose the 99% non-revenue-generating freeloaders like me who required the same cost to upkeep and host? Perhaps worth the cost. But to give essentially no notice...these bastards snuck in this change without lube. So yeah, hell with them.

You can go to sites like Imgur and set up an account and then upload your photos there. It is free. https://imgur.com/

When you have uploaded photos you click on that photo and on the right hand side it will say view and edit post. Just go to the one that says BBC code (second from bottom) and click on copy and then paste the link. Or you can just copy that link yourself and paste it.

A new member mentioned having photos from Ipads uploaded directly to the forum not being shown correctly. I asked Dion about it and this is the response.
That's a common problem with uploading images to phpBB -- it ignores the rotation data stored in images. The issue was supposed to be resolved in the version of phpBB you're now using, but it still doesn't seem to be fixed even in the most recent releases.

The issue only exists with images taken on mobile devices. If the phone/tablet isn't upright when taking the image, it will not have the correct orientation in phpBB.

The best fix for this is to use an image upload service such as imgur. It correctly auto-rotates uploaded images. I'm sure I could write something that would fix the issue as well, but it wouldn't be cheap.
