We want the backstory, how'd you fucking get this one? Spill, goddamn it!!
Well, you see, my watchmaker sent me a text message and asked me if I wanted it.

I said, I'm not really a pocket-watch collector.

(A little tall tale never hurts in negotiations.)

He said, "ok."

I said, "ok, you are twisting my arm. I'll take."

This is because: *I have some space in the third pocket watch case I've started and * it's a Patek.

Then he put in a bag with my claim tickets for the three watches I had Dad drop off last week.

Holy crap! How's the reflection of the movement in the polished gold?!?!?! Fancy AF! (even more special than a Serpico 6190 Chronometre)

Well done!

I'll get some better light pictures of the movement this weekend. It's at home on my desk now.

Doing more research on M. O. NOBBE & Co., Galveston, TX. I wonder how many other jewelers, Tiffany's included, locally cased up swiss watches at the turn of the last century.
