These are cool-looking. I like the malachite green dial. The white one reminds me of my SARB.
I'm with you on the green dial, and also like the plain white. Nothing wrong with these..

Just more proof that a good watch doesnt have to cost over $500. Love to see one in person.

These are awfully nice, regardless of price point.

I was prepared to dislike them, my last experience with a two guys internet watch company was lackluster, parts bin feel, but these guys really did a good job of specifying this at this price point.

TIL malachite and adventurine are reputed by some to have spiritual significance and energy, bringing harmony and balance.

Some of those watches are pretty nice looking IMO. Can't really fault the designs at all, but the marketing? To say that one at $350 is an Aqua Terra alternative is a leap only the naive would take.

Erebus is Greek god of darkness, which is creepy to begin with. Becomes creepier after searching the website and there is no explanation for the name choice.

If that is not enough, the minerals selected for the mineral dials have new age beliefs in their supernatural properties, again no mention on Erebus site when I checked.

Methinks that Jody Problem Glasses guy is not telling us everything.

The weebo reviewer is sniffing Jody Problem Glasses’ Ass-Scent/Sent flatulence. A Citizen NB1050 flushes the Ass Scent wrinkle neck trout firmly down the toilet bowl on value for the buck. Aside from lacking the heavy handed, if not vulgar execution, the craftsmanship and attention to detail is a league above for the 360 USD gray dial version I got this week, had the silver dial a ways back and flipped it.

Plus you get Duratec Platinum coating which will keep it looking bright and shiny forever. That alone is a huge differentiator at the same price point and similar specs.

Dont like Citizen? Fair enough, not everyone does, but there are other options. This is not unparalleled value for the buck as asserted by weebo reviewer. Just need one example to falsify that claim and I am sure there are others.

Just avoid Internet garbage by a mouthbreathing vulgarian trying to monetize his internet fame. One easy mode is to simply stick with a real San Martin, plenty of class there.

Not bad but I’d rather pay a bit more for a used SARB.
Anybody considering SARB033/35 these days, I highly recommend looking into Citizen NB1050.

Tons of reviews online and same blather as weebo about Erebus Ascent, oh it is Aqua Terra, Grand Seiko, even Datejust stand in, which is patently ridiculous.

However, they all also say it is a SARB killer, with which I do hapoen to agree. Meets or exceeds those SARBs on every spec except it has unsigned crown.

So unless collectible/scarce like SARB037 or SARB001, time has moved on.

>But WISenheimer, I hate the stick hands, really like the dauphin hands on the SARB

No pronlem, round up the hands from a Citizen NP4040, they fit the movement and the lume matches.

Got my gray one on lizard today. The gray one was a later release after original black, blue, white/silver ones.
