I love this style so much, always have, not sure why. It's pretty much the perfect dive watch look IMO.

Agree. Makes me want an original 900 or Blancpain. I'll pass on the SayKo powered one though.jason_recliner wrote: ↑January 17th 2024, 6:31pmI love this style so much, always have, not sure why. It's pretty much the perfect dive watch look IMO.

US$950 is ridiculous for a NE15-powered bead blasted dive watch on a nylon strap, I don't care how nice the crystal is.smellody wrote: ↑January 17th 2024, 7:13pmAgree. I hate it when some Joe-Schmo purchases the rights to a dead-name company and then attempts to ride on the history of the brand; all the while going super Kickstarrter with ultra cheap components and specs and unsurprisingly, price.

And buy that, I mean, here's one for you, Smellody:

Just so you know, only five of them are known to exist. But if you have the scratch, one can be had. ($65,000)

The newer Blancpain 50 Fathoms are considerably cheaper, at only $16,500 for this titanium version:

I prefer the look of the new T-R to both of those. The old one looks like shit. The Blancpain, while beautiful it its own right, is too fancy for a dive watch and doesn't have the T-R style and functional aesthetic.

Re: Tornek-Rayville TR-660
The very rare mid-1960's LiP/Blancpain.

And the original that the Tornek Rayville was based on, using Bulova's research records.

Prefer the Bulova.
