I received the watche. I was surprised by the quality and the watches is nicer in real than in website.
I wear it often even for swimming and the 1970 is very confortable in any occasion

The above was the Jocelyn V. Champagne review that Tobey referenced, by the way. You can see that she (he, they) isn’t the meca-quartz bashing uber-snob that Mister Recliner is, but rather more, shall we say, of the people.

Update: I checked the time a few days ago and it was hours wrong. I have been swimming with it several times and I wonder if it leaked. Reset it and it seems to be letting okay time since. I have been travelling and I suppose it's possible that when resetting it upon arrival I mixed up the seconds and minutes hands? But that would be embarrassing and stupid so surely not.

After several swims most, but not all, of the blue crap has come out of the crown engraving. So that's a win of sorts.

Sarah really likes this one!

Credit to DH for posting my mini-review to their site:

I've got the 39mm quartz orange dial with sapphire bezel. Overall this watch is fantastic. The box sapphire crystal is porn and looks so expensive. Ditto the sapphire bezel. Can't go wrong with an orange dial with black markings for summer. My beautiful and much younger girlfriend loves it, rates it up there with my Milus - job done. Only problem is the movement keeps lousy time for a quartz. But who buys watches to keep time? Solid Four Stars.

Just realised I forgot to discuss the bezel action and the lume. Bugger.
