Cheap Bastard: The Undone Urban 34 Killy Black Rose is a $300 tangerine dream

Unlike my erudite and learned colleagues on this website, those who have read this column in the past will know my horological lusts aren’t governed by the usual parameters. Which is my way of saying that a bargain is where I’m at. To paraphrase the great Billy Connolly: “My dad was so tight he’d wake up in the middle of the night to see if he’d lost any sleep.” Me and the Big Yin’s father would have got on famously.

This timepiece will set you back a smidge under $300. A big tick from me.

Looks a lot like the '63 Chinese air force chrono - and I do mean a lot. For about the same money you can get the Seagull version of the '63 Chinee - a genuine mechanical column wheel chronograph.

That Undone is a nice looking watch but it did remind me of the Seagull '63.

I have a watch made by Undone; I wear it all the time. But I also really like my Seagull '63.

Undone is my grail watch.

Had an Undone Urban in a different tone. Look neat, feel meh. Ended up selling it later for $80..

I just had to.

It wasn't Killy that killed Pantani; it was the mountain of coke and all the other drugs he took.

Indeed, recreational drugs killed Marco. You won’t admit it, but I know all tour winners use drugs. However, some do so with the assistance and protection of the foxes that guard the henhouse and some are the unwitting victims of politics. It’s what makes the current sport half professional wrestling.
