Ming 27.01

Post by Racer-X » May 1st 2020, 11:25am

"Since the inception of the brand in 2017, with the inaugural 17.01 model, renowned photographer Ming Thein has turned out to be also quite an impressive designer and watch entrepreneur, creating a brand with a consistent style and development. 2020 marks a new step for Ming Watches, which is introducing its second-generation design language and, coincidentally, a new watch. Leaner, dressier and beautifully finished, Ming has undergone an earnest exercise in reduction and restraint. So here’s the slimmest and sleekest watch in his repertoire, the new Ming 27.01."

Man, I hate reading about a watch, soaking in all the details and thinking about how to get one delivered without "She who must be obeyed" finding out, and then seeing the unobtanium price at the end of the review.

That watch is very nice. Maybe if they would not limit it to 125 and not go so far with dressing up the innards, I could see myself buying one.

Almost 4K CHF for a skeletonized Peseux with blackened bridges. Right. Somebody call Flash-fucking-Gordon, there's a loopy fucking Ming in need of a walloping.
I always hope for the best. Experience, unfortunately, has taught me to expect the worst.

I agree. Really like that, but not the price.

You are merciless...
"Who are you?" "I am the new Number Two." "Who is Number One?" "You are Number Six."
