I bought my brother-in-law a Citizen from that seller. Refurb that looked "as-new' to me.

I paid $349 for my Devil Diver. This is obviously a much better deal for a $795 retail watch that is overpriced at that price by a large margin IMO. I'm pleased with my purchase/value equation.

So after considering buying this watch for about .......... 30 seconds, I bit, joining Randy and Foghorn. I have to admit I have been sniffing around for a good deal on this model until this ebay deal popped up. I couldn't resist.

It arrived today from Houston and here are some initial thoughts. I have been hesitant because of the large case size but while the very polished case is 44mm, the dial/bezel is only 41.2mm, so on the wrist it looks and feels very comfortable. The fact that the Miyota movement does not hack is not an issue since I no longer go on missions. The dial is cool looking with a red cross hatch. And while I am not a fan of cyclops, this one has an internal one under the sapphire crystal rather on top and that is unique in my experience.

I would love to sit down with Bulova designers and have a heart-to-heart about a number of design issues since the bracelet is a love/hate deal. It is reminiscent of the bracelet on the Bulova Astronaut watches from many years ago in that the links are small, the bracelet has a lot of them so it is easy to get a comfortable fit. But for a watch with a list price of almost $800, a milled clasp rather than the cheap stamped one is not too much to ask.

That said, it is a very attractive diver and so far, I find it very comfortable.

I tried one like this today. I think one will find a home on my wrist.

Beware Jomashop shipping estimates. Unless it says "In Stock" you can wait for weeks, even when it says 3-5 days.
I learned from experience.

Thanks for the heads up. Not worried about time as I have a lot of watches right now. Given what I have read I think I will put it on rubber strap

Ther OEM bracelet isn't as bad as some might lead you to believe. Especially if you appreciate the vintage vibe. I like mine. Same quality as the bracelets of the 70's before we got spoiled.
