Charles Nicolet watches
Charles Nicolet who had sole control of the company from 1879. It appeared that under Charles Nicolet the Company had become important producers of watches for sporting events.
They were the official time keepers of the Gordon Bennett Racing Cup ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gordon_ ... to_racing)
and supplied over 90 split second chronograph pocket watches for timing the race in 1903.
Earlier races had been between major towns on public roads over the course of a day. In 1903 the Gordon Bennett Race involved three timed laps of a closed circular course which required more accurate time keeping.
This was an international automobile race held in Athy, County
Kildare in 1903. https://www.theguardian.com/theguardian ... t-cup-1903
Sort of history of the brand but not much help.

With the lilt of Irish laughter
Every day and in every way
Now forever and ever after."
