TimetatioN Roundtable – Ladies’ Category
As the GPHG’s ceremony fast approaching, we decided to make a roundtable with some watch enthusiasts from every parts of the world.
The prize-giving ceremony will be held at the Théâtre du Léman in Geneva on November 10, 2016.
To start it’s better to explain in some words what the GPHG is.
The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève was created in 2001.
Its definition says : The main objective of the Foundation of the GPHG is to contribute, thanks to its label, to promoting Swiss watchmaking and its values around the world.
The Foundation annually organises the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), which is intended to salute the excellence of worldwide horological production and annually rewards the finest creations and the most important operators in the watchmaking sector.
The Foundation of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) – recognised as a public interest organisation – was officially established before a notary in Geneva on May 31st 2011.
Each year the jury is composed of experts from the watchmaking industry; Whether they are journalists, editors or watchmakers themselves, they have the difficult task to choose the winner of each category.
Today our goal is not to ask experts of our industry but only people who are passionate about watches. They will give us with their eye of enthusiast and collector their opinions about each category. Note that TimetatioN team will not give its opinion in this series of articles and has no bearing on the choices made by the participants of this roundtable.
So let’s start today with the Ladies’ category. On this one the pre-selected watches are :
