Alpina Gyre

Post by smellody » February 4th 2023, 9:53pm

The Alpina Gyre arrived late yesterday afternoon. I'm impressed. At $255 it was well worth the price of admission.

At 44mm the watch is large. Here it is compared against my BlackBay.

I'm short on blue dial watches and this one is the same Blue used by Maserati for its gauges, key, fuel cap, and owner's manual and pouches.

Depending on the lighting, the dial changes from light to dark blue.

Watch arrived with an authenticity card.

My watch is Number 468 of 1883.

Watch also came with an extra strap in a separate pouch with a spring bar tool.

Overall.... I like it. I needed a blue watch. The watch wound smoothly and the date changes were crisp. A huge thank you to Svaglic for letting me know about the deal.

Another Lord has the second watch ⌚️ in the mail headed to them. Thanks for joining in on the deal! Watches for pennies on the dollar!

Cool, it will be interesting to see how the case material holds up.

I like that shade of blue. I like a lot of Alpina offerings, but they are just too big for me so I watch from the sidelines.
In memory of TB/Phfluff, since he isn’t here to continue to give his praise, I will share it for him.

So I bought the second Alpina from Smellody, the watch came on a NATO band and had a black leather band in the box. I was not a fan of either so the other night I was on Amazon and for $23. I found this metal bracelet. Nothing really fancy, but I thought it looked would look good. Thoughts and comments would be appreciated.
