Late night buy

Post by svaglic » December 7th 2022, 10:20am

I couldn’t sleep, had a few drinks, woke up to ….not bad.

Decent colors, size, price, my first powermatic 80 and it’s from Ashford not an ify site.

I can live with this. No toilets, but you can’t win them all.

Did I need it? No, but I can live with it.

Pretty cool! Love the dial.

Thanks, I think I’ll like it. Picking a watch with no sleep and alcohol is always scary when you wake up.
When I was 22 I had a medical procedure and was jacked up on the stuff they used to put me out. I woke up and remembered buying a wedding ring after I was released. The hardest thing was looking down at my finger to see what I had chosen. I got lucky, it was tasteful. I still can’t believe my ex husband took me out shopping for wedding rings while I was so messed up, but he did.
Apparently I like to spend money when I’m messed up.

That’s an awesome story, and I really like the watch. That story reminds me of the Veg-O-Matic song by Steve Goodman.
