Seiko 7002
So my recent outbursts of late have kept me away from Seiko due to their skyrocketing pricing.
There's more than one way to skin a cat as they say. So I went fishing in the Bay and snagged a 7002-7000 diver. Recently serviced as the date on the inside of the caseback indicates 12-22-20. Overall I'm pretty pleased with the purchase. Yes, I've already had it apart to try and clean what I though was streaks on the inside of the crystal, but it appears that it's wear and tear on the outside, hardly noticeable but in the right sunlight it fucks with my OCD on watches.
For those not familiar, this model is succeeds my 6309 and is a predecessor to my SKX. Overall same dimensions as the SKX and I believe most parts are interchangeable. Not sure why that change to SKX when both movements are non hackable and non winding. The date code on this one suggests a born on date of Oct. '94.
