Many of you know how I feel about gold.

To that end another early 9ct lady's Tudor. (Yes the Queen's English speaking world refer to gold karats (k) as carats (yes, like diamonds).

Concerning the whole karat/carat pickle, at work I just stick to the decimal form of providing the purity of gold. Karats too, less often. Sometimes I had and have situations, where customers would use some obsolete system of gold purities, in which case I tell them that whatever that system is, it is obsolete and widely unrecognized. That usually gets their gold-related vocabulary in order, and suddenly they do know what .585 gold is.
