Reviews & Articles of all things Wristwatch

About Me.

Hi there, and welcome to Watch That Sweep. Here you can find articles on all things wristwatch. I mean, that’s why you’re here right?

I started this site because I'm an ordinary guy with an inexplicable passion for watches, and I wanted to offer something that would help other people looking to find out more about what's out there in the world of horology. Like most of us, my budget is strictly in the "affordable" category, so most of my articles will focus on wristwatches in that range, both new and sometimes vintage.

I’ve always been interested in watches since I was a kid. Probably because it’s pretty much the one cool thing a guy can wear anywhere, whilst doing anything. Hollywood helped fuel my interest too of course. James Bond always had some fancy gadget-laden Rolex or Omega in the movies, Will Smith wore a Hamilton Ventura in Men in Black, and Tom Cruise sported an IWC in Top Gun, to name but three.

Now that I’m older my appreciation has deepened further, because a watch is one of the few accessories a man can wear to express his own personality, style, and taste. Whilst I’ve managed (or rather my girlfriend has) to keep my collection to under a dozen pieces, I’m always keeping my eye out for that next purchase!

So have a browse of the site and read a few articles, follow me on Instagram for some cool watch pics, and subscribe for updates on new pieces!

All the best,

I know the fellow from WUS, he was a regular BaB reader, quite disapproving of the Donkeys.
I always hope for the best. Experience, unfortunately, has taught me to expect the worst.
