Watchlords.com - low traffic low quality forum

Post by BigOpening4Shemen » February 19th 2024, 8:29am

Watchlords.com is a low traffic forum for cranky watch collectors who like to complain about free internet content without moderation. No real watch enthusiast has ever heard of this forum before and then finds out why after visiting it and seeing low quality negative content posted. The founder is so ashamed of his creation that he has hidden his name on the whois database.

Most threads we're started 3 years ago with no new information share. The forum is essentially dead and no one cares.

Watchlords.com likes to be uncensored when it comes to other peoples names, businesses, and websites - let's see if they can live up to their own expectation by not censoring this honest outlook on their own forum.

And yet you grace us with your presence. How lucky are we?

Astonishingly presumptuous.

I'll put my "real watch enthusiast" credentials up against yours any day of the week, puppy.

And I still learn things from the folks in this forum all the time.

Yes, we have one member who is a real watch enthusiast! And our WRUW subforum is a veritable hive of activity. Why, they post (the same, poor quality, admittedly) pics of watches in there like a, ... Hive! Somthing like one new post PER DAY in there! So there!

Oh, and welcome!

Welp. I reckon we walked the talk, as we always have, by golly.

Welcome to Watchlords. Looking forward to the addition of your vast horological knowledge and insights to our humble forum.

Bitch, please. That post is adorable but if you really did know any of the cranky old fucks who post here you would understand your content will not be "censored", as you claim. Because - why would anyone give two shits anyway? And why should your opinion matter?

I can't imagine anyone here shying away from a good argument if your foundation is well-grounded. However, your assertion alleging we, "like to complain about free internet content without moderation" will need some citation or additional detail to have any degree of traction in a genuine dialogue.

I suspect you may have inadvertently framed your assertion in a grammatically incorrect manner, though I could be mistaken. It would appear you take issue with the forum being unmoderated and have concluded that an unmoderated forum enables a dynamic which tends to facilitate 'complaints'? Are we to assume these 'complaints' take form in posts you find disagreeable?

Currently, as it reads, the suggestion is we like to complain about free internet and content that is not moderated. If you could offer some sort of additional reference - perhaps a link - it would be helpful in understanding what the hell exactly may be your problem.

And, just to clarify, most would agree that some of the better and perhaps most informative posts are significantly older than only three years.

Since it is uncensored, if you look around more you may actually learn something. For example, how we do not censor even ridiculous posts like your introduction.

Welcome to the forum! Now, cut the nonsense and post something interesting! :dssd:

Too bad Alain isn't here to respond to this. I'd bet it would be brutal.

Don't feed the troll(s).

The mature thing to do would have been to ask some questions or even better, introduce one's self and state one's particular interests in horology. That would have initiated some nice discussion and perhaps a broadening of knowledge.

But no, we get some juvenile insults, hoping for the same in response. Sorry, that's been done to death for the past 25 years or so.

Next troll, please.

I noticed the user name was pretty unique, so maybe Google can educate us. Here's what Google came up with. Perhaps our new member is just too busy to post.
