Re: The Microbrand Store
As your business doesn't interfere with us here, good luck on your trade.

You can click/touch the X and it instantly goes away, and unlike most other sites, doesn't keep on displaying all the time, which I find truly annoying.
I thought the request for poultry or cartoon characters was facetious so Undone came right to mind, although it's arguably not a microbrand. (Depending on your definition.) I was just having fun responding in kind. :)bbattle wrote: ↑November 22nd 2019, 5:46pmI've already got an Undone Space watch with Snoopy on the dial. It's pretty cool.
All the watches that I liked on the microbrand store site were sold out.
I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to watches and the microbrands that go that route usually serve to remind me of why I like brands like Hamilton, Laco, Tissot, Seiko, etc.
I'll keep looking, though.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/13 ... 1Tq6yxN4CcAlmost a year ago my parents asked me to help clearing out their basement. Cold, dull walls? Spending a Saturday morning amidst dust and spiders? After a stressful workweek? Rather reluctantly I agreed to fulfill my family duties.
Down there, still grumbling about my precious time, I discovered my grandfather's paintings. Yet stowed away for so many years and already dusted into oblivion, instantly I was set back to my childhood days. A fresh ocean breeze stroking my face, the sound of seagulls above and the smell of the old fireplace where my grandfather used to tell us adventurous stories of his seafarer's life. At once I felt not only at ease with myself. I also sensed this inner longing to go out there, to explore the world and seek adventures.
Holding the painting in my hand, I decided to capture the unbridled spirit of the sea, fashioning its essence into unique, hand-crafted timepieces. An heirloom from the depths of seafaring history. That day my grandfather's paintings laid the foundation for this one-of-a-kind bronze watch collection.
Not sure if by "you guys" you mean The Microbrand Store but FWIW neither Undone or Mr. Becker's brand (whatever that may be) are on our site. Just saying...

In the Celeste example, it's extremely unusual to have a woman-owned watch microbrand, and also to have a female watchmaker. Personally I think that adds interest since this is such a male dominated industry, but to each his own.
Then not only are we the same age but we feel the same about quartz for our personal timepieces.svaglic wrote: ↑November 24th 2019, 9:52amThe Microbrand Store wrote: ↑November 24th 2019, 9:42amHey, middle-aged Fire Horse here. :p

Then you must be 53 like me.
I like the Celeste dials, I just don’t like that they are quartz. I won’t ask for a custom from them because it just isn’t worth it to me. If they put out some automatics I’ll likely get one.
