Well, Mr. Store, I've looked at your offerings again, because you seem to be a serious guy and not a clown. And, I'll be damned if I can find anything there that I wouldn't mind being found dead in a ditch wearing, except for the Mercers.

As your business doesn't interfere with us here, good luck on your trade.

Ooooh... very nice idea to go with vintage. If it wasn't a microbrand store, some vintage classics with their smaller sizes would be very sweet there.

If you happen to like Celeste's work, and it's just the quartz putting you off, Celeste is a trained watchmaker and takes on custom projects. She could build you a nice mechanical watch with a custom designed face without needing to pay an arm and a leg. Happy to put you in touch with her if you like.

Yeah, I love the magic mushroom dial, don't mind the size but it's quartz. You can find those mushrooms on the great lawn @ UDub.

I somehow remembered you mentioned the Mercers, (probably as posting here is always a baptism by fire, :3) so FWIW thought I'd mention that for the 4th July holiday through Sunday we're offering an extra 10% off of our US microbrands, which includes Mercer. "1776" is the discount code for that.

I've also updated our "Watchlords" discount code for 5% off any microbrand watch, good through the 7th as well:

Hope you get a chance to check out some of the newer items in the store since April.

Seeing as this is a forum for dealer sales, I wanted to briefly share that The Microbrand Store Black Friday Sale campaign has launched today. Yes, it's a week early, and it'll be running through 11:59pm PST on the 2nd December (Cyber Monday) with discounts codes up to 20% off of our already discounted pricing.

I know you guys don't want a sales pitch and I don't have a flame retardant suit to hand so here are the codes:

BFCM-A - 5% off of our microbrand watches, excluding pre-orders.
BFCM-M - 10% off of our meteorite dial timepieces.
BFCM-T - 10% off of our tourbillon timepieces. *
BFCM-B - 15% off of our Ballast Trafalgar watches.
BFCM-N - 15% off of our Neminus Spaceman Swiss divers.
BFCM-P - 20% off of our Polish American watches.
BFCM-L - 20% off of our ladies watches.

* We will also include a free solid link bracelet with our mother-of-pearl tourbillons while supplies last.

By the way, your website pops up some rather annoying goofy advert window in my browser for some "spin for a discount" BS.

You can click/touch the X and it instantly goes away, and unlike most other sites, doesn't keep on displaying all the time, which I find truly annoying.

FYI the spin the wheel is extremely popular with our shoppers as a way of getting extra discounts or freebies, and when we took it away once for a while to make some changes, we had requests to put it back. As a business, it's an essential tool to help get signups for newsletters and mailing lists, which is why many stores do this.

I've looked but haven't found anything with poultry nor cartoon characters emblazoned on the watch face.
Do you have any plans for this?
No we don't. Perhaps try Undone's Peanuts collection? :u[:

I've already got an Undone Space watch with Snoopy on the dial. It's pretty cool.

All the watches that I liked on the microbrand store site were sold out.

I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to watches and the microbrands that go that route usually serve to remind me of why I like brands like Hamilton, Laco, Tissot, Seiko, etc.

I'll keep looking, though.

I still like the idea of a buffer being provided between myself and hyperbole-endowed micro-brands but I'm old and crusty so stuff that I find I like grows thinner by the day.

Undone on the other hand started off gimmicky and went downhill from there. Apparently overwhelmed by their ability to read a browser header they immediately shifted the currency to Thai Baht complete with a shitty exchange rate. I'm only on vacation and would prefer my location not be taken so damn seriously right off the bat. I should try paying them in Vietnamese Dong just for giggles but I'd have to buy something so screw that.

Curating hyperbole-enhanced micro-brands ain't no small feat. Kinda reminds me of...

I thought the request for poultry or cartoon characters was facetious so Undone came right to mind, although it's arguably not a microbrand. (Depending on your definition.) I was just having fun responding in kind. :)

That Space Snoopy is much better than some of the other Snoopy themed watches I've seen. Giving a more serious answer here, we did arrange wholesale prices and put in an order request with Undone for other watches of theirs well over a year ago but the ball kept being dropped so we decided to let that one go. That reason plus we have to be cautious of known cartoon characters since we don't truly know if they're licensed or not, (Undone is a Chinese factory brand and unfortunately most Chinese factories don't seem to give a monkeys regarding copyright,) means that we wouldn't likely ever carry their Peanuts line. The third reason for us to avoid is we're trying to move to microbrands only, so no more restocking Ballast or Spinnaker for example.

Sorry we were sold out regarding whatever it was that you liked in the store. Care to share which model and color here? I can give more information such as if we'd likely be restocking. We also have watches we deliberately don't list in the store such as unique one of a kinds from a few microbrands which we sell privately (with checkout still going through the store.)

Love ST19 based chronos too - always enjoy the case back on those.

We bought all of the remaining panda stock from Mercer and actually have 3 more of them here, all of which failed our inspection or testing so we can't sell them to customers. (One had spring bar scuffs on the outer side of a lug, another had small scratches on the glass, the last wouldn't wind.) We'll have a go at repolishing the scratched case so may have one more we can list up soon. The other two are going back to Mercer. Feel free to PM us here if you want us to let you know if/when we relist that last panda:
https://microbrand.store/pages/contact-us

The Viqueria Levantes are also ST-19 based. No panda dial on those and they're 42mm rather than 40mm, but we have one black dial remaining in stock as well some sunburst blues.

You mean like regular, normal watch brands?

Like UNDONE?

-Watches don’t just tell time anymore — they tell stories. After all, it’s your wrist, your style, your story. Be unique. Because individuality matters.
-This is where the magic happens. Your selected hands, dial, case and bezel details will be crafted by skilled watchmakers, creating something uniquely yours.
-A line of versatile timepieces, designed for the avid traveller, weekend road tripper, and everyone in-between.
-For Your Cuttin’ Out Early on Friday, we’ve got different collections for going casual or elegant, weekend drive along the coasts or flying international.
-The culmination of sporting influences, performance and aesthetics; that purely reflects the image of a sports watch in the modern and classic era.

That ^ isn't even the stuff they espouse on their About Us page.

Here's an even better one:
Almost a year ago my parents asked me to help clearing out their basement. Cold, dull walls? Spending a Saturday morning amidst dust and spiders? After a stressful workweek? Rather reluctantly I agreed to fulfill my family duties.

Down there, still grumbling about my precious time, I discovered my grandfather's paintings. Yet stowed away for so many years and already dusted into oblivion, instantly I was set back to my childhood days. A fresh ocean breeze stroking my face, the sound of seagulls above and the smell of the old fireplace where my grandfather used to tell us adventurous stories of his seafarer's life. At once I felt not only at ease with myself. I also sensed this inner longing to go out there, to explore the world and seek adventures.

Holding the painting in my hand, I decided to capture the unbridled spirit of the sea, fashioning its essence into unique, hand-crafted timepieces. An heirloom from the depths of seafaring history. That day my grandfather's paintings laid the foundation for this one-of-a-kind bronze watch collection.

Not sure if by "you guys" you mean The Microbrand Store but FWIW neither Undone or Mr. Becker's brand (whatever that may be) are on our site. Just saying...

We do have a brief intro for every microbrand we carry at the top of each microbrand's section, but it's only a one to three paragraphs at most and a lot of customers actually do want to know because unlike mainstream brands, they enjoy the idea of getting something from a small brand that not too many others will have. The story (when the annoying marketing bs is removed) can add a lot of interest for many shoppers. We don't want to just blandly list products without very briefly introducing the folks behind them.

Random example here is informative I think, and even if you don't like the watches, the fact that it's a woman owned microbrand with just two folks actually making the dials by hand with laser cutters is quite unique:
https://microbrand.store/collections/celeste-watch-co

If you browse via watch feature, size, price, color, material etc. then you don't get the intro blurbs, which are only if you browse by microbrand.

The Celeste dials remind me of the glass and metal decorations for sale at kiosks in the mall. The ones you hang in the kitchen window.

Perhaps they might appeal to fans of Danielle Steele novels but my wife would shoot me if I bought one of those for her.

I'm comfortable knowing my Seiko was assembled by a middle-aged woman in a brightly lit room; I don't need to know the name of her cat or that she was born in the year of the horse.

Hey, middle-aged Fire Horse here. :p

In the Celeste example, it's extremely unusual to have a woman-owned watch microbrand, and also to have a female watchmaker. Personally I think that adds interest since this is such a male dominated industry, but to each his own.

Then you must be 53 like me.

I like the Celeste dials, I just don’t like that they are quartz. I won’t ask for a custom from them because it just isn’t worth it to me. If they put out some automatics I’ll likely get one.

Then not only are we the same age but we feel the same about quartz for our personal timepieces.

Celeste is a trained watchmaker so an automatic wouldn't be a problem. It's something I've also encouraged but most female watch buyers seem to prefer the simplicity of not needing to do much with a quartz.
