Significant watch photo

Post by foghorn » May 14th 2016, 3:33pm

I just stumbled upon this old pic of mine. It is historical , and a bit eerie for a couple of reasons. It won a photo contest years ago at another damn forum and beat out an entry by JS. It was also before the appearance of MD on the forum scene. Perhaps the name on the pencil was some sort of omen.

I've got the same watch, with back dial. It was the first automatic I ever bought, probably around 2006. When was your picture taken?

Long ago. Maybe around then or a bit prior.
Jeebus!! I don't even remember what watch I wore yesterday!!
This particular watch was used as a "pass around" watch between the original owners group of that "damn" forum and ultimately ended up as a gift to the founder.

Just wondering if that model had been out for a while. I would not have known when I bought it except it was not on my spreadsheet which starts in 2007.
