Back in the days of film I was a big Olympus fan. Liked how the smaller size fit my hands. Had an OM-1 then an OM-2, Sun flash, winder, several lenses, loaded my own film and so forth.

Today I use a Canon Power Shot A620 or if Im feeling lazy, my Microsoft Lumia phone camera.

I use it on a tripod that collapses to 10 inches. Great feature for desktop shots. Just do a wee bit of zoom for a stabilized closeup. Used this for 7 years without issue.

Yup. I love mine, and still use it. It's a nominal 4MP camera but with great lenses, a high quality sensor and it's wonderful for watch shots. Has good macro capability, too.

Old thread, re-birthed. But fun to think about. I'm shooting now with a Samsung S23 Ultra, or a Huawei P30 Pro, and often with my older Samsung S8+.

They all have objectively pretty good cameras, even the S8+. They all run rings around the C-4000 I mentioned in 2016.

The A77 is a very good camera.

Oh, and hi to ya, goofballs Image

Wow, talk about a zombie thread and this zombie still remembers it.

Still using my Canon Powershot A620 but updated my phone to an LG Stylo 5 which also needs replacing but then again I dont take many pictures these days. (run on sentence (?) but no coffee yet this AM)
