USB microscope fooling around **Pic heavy**

Post by biglove » May 12th 2014, 6:48am

Wondering if anyone has experimented with a USB microscope for macro photo work on their watches?

Ordered the one below from Amazon to see how it goes. It displays photos and videos on your PC monitor. Think it will be neat to see big macros on my 27" monitor.

I have a set of extension tubes for my wife's Canon DSLR that take great photos but it is a PITA to set it up and worry with lighting.

I do wish it was a higher MP camera but to step up to 8MP makes for a $300 vs $40 expenditure.

Will share some pics from it after I get back from Florida.

How good can the optics possibly be? It will be interesting to see your pics.

Fortunately, no! Deep sea fishing, lots of food, dancing, drinking, reading and basically sitting on my ass whenever I want. Our annual trip with our kiddos.

Well, it came in and I have to say that for $40 it does a nice job. Lighting is a bit harsh but the magnification it is capable of is superb...

Not bad at all. I have a great camera, but the harder I try, the sadder my pictures are. I have just been using my Galaxy Note 10.1 lately. This may not be a bad gadget for me to grab.
